MISSION STATEMENT.

Breaking the Cycle with Books is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that provides equitable access to literacy for historically underserved youth with an emphasis on high school retention, cultural enhancement, and a successful future. We increase literacy, empathy, and college readiness by giving students the independent bookstore experience, while helping them build their own personal library.

CHANGING LIVES WITH BOOKS.

We are public school teachers that take students to independent bookstores and buy them books of their choosing. We promote literacy and positive habits.
